In every season the type of precautions and care change. While in summer, you need that non greasy and sweat free look, now, in winter your skin demands differently. In winter, the skin gets dry and itchy. It may also become eczema prone and really irritable. To protect the skin from cold and dry air, you need to bring about some change in skin care. At the first signs of the cold season, our skin needs help in order to cope with the changing of the climate.If we follow some simple steps, we can look good in any given situation.

Water is the most basic skin and body hydrator. Drink water regularly for that special “glow” on your face. Try to reduce taking showers and baths in hot water, mostly during the three months of winter. Instead, use cooler water so that your skin gets accustomed to the outside temperatures. The wind and the rain are powerful enemies, so in daytime, use a hydrating cream with B vitamins to hydrate your thirsty skin, to maintain elasticity and create a moisture barrier between your face and the environment for the greatest benefit. Also, use a very nutritive lip balm that will quench the thirst of your dry lips.

Even though the sun has lost its powers, we should still use a SPF face cream/ foundation. And besides facial skin, also apply cream on your neck, back arms and feet. Remember to look for vitamin E enriched products. This will prevent itchiness and loss of water content from skin.

One of the best and free techniques for a youthful, beautiful skin is a face massage. The benefits are endless! It encourages blood circulation which floods the skin cells and tissues with life nourishing oxygen. This helps to carry away waste products and carbon dioxide, therefore cleaning the skin. A face massage is great for oily or dry skin because it increases skin moisture by distributing sebum production and balances out either condition. A good vigorous massage will help remove dead skin cells - exposing healthier skin underneath. Many people are afraid to touch or rub the skin on their face, yet have no problems getting a massage on their whole body. During your face cleansing routine, take 5-10 minutes to gently rub your face and neck with ascending moves, forehead to temples, chin to cheeks along the jaw. Don't forget about the rest of your body! Massage the dry skin of hands and feet with oil or cream . After moisturizing hands and feet, wear gloves and socks to lock the moisture content and prevent cracking of skin, then go off to sleep.

Improve the nutritional value in your diet. Fruits and vegetables provide the necessary supplements that your skin and body requires. Besides, you should daily consume some almonds. Almonds are rich in vitamin E and hence good for health.
Vitamin C is again an important element for skin and body. You can get it from lemon. Begin your morning with a glass of water mixed with some lemon juice. Moreover, eat oranges and other citrus fruits which help in fighting winter.
For skin care some home remedies never lose their importance. Sinec we're in the kitchen departament, you can mix equal portions of honey and milk and apply on face for fifteen minutes. Rinse with warm water and get a smooth skin.
In addition, apply coconut or almond or olive oil on the body and take a bath after some time. This will cure winter dryness.
